Flower Power

Take a good look. I worked on this painting for 4 hrs today. I am sooooo close to wiping it off. It is too washed out. It isn't totally finished some tweeking needs to be done to the sunflowers but I am not happy with it. Maybe it is just one of those days. I will let you know if it survives. 12 x 16 oil. © For Sale Soon.

Never you dare vipe it out. For one thing others might love it just as it is. Many a painting of mine that I have though fit for the bin has been sold but work I know is good has not. Put it aside if you musst. It might look different next week.

Nancy, Do not wipe off the paint! To me it's reminisient of of John Singer Sargent's Carnation, Lily, Lily, Rose although done in a looser, impressionistic style. We were in a workshop together in Leiper's Fork this fall and I'm so happy to see that you are continuing to work on your art.

Joan, Yes I remember you. Thank you so much for your kind words. Wow John Singer Sargent! You ARE too kind! How is your painting coming? Would love to take another workshop with you sometime.
