Floating In Summer

Oh to have good knees and coordination again. Remember when summer went on forever? There was stark sunlight here. The light at the top of the painting is from the window behind when I was photographing the painting. I thought the concrete was hard to paint, but turned out well. 12x12 oil on canvas board. ©2008 $100.00

Interesting subject! Is this your son? If they only knew the ones who invented this sport was us! Remember the days of torn up skates put under a piece of wood with carpeting on top? I do!

Hey Pattie, No it is from a photo of some kid. Yes, the homemade skateboard. My husbands father was an insurance salesman and he broke my husbands homemade board in half! I also remember the origial skates that had to be strapped on, all metal. LOL I think we invented everything.

GREAT title! Really fun painting, too. Remember when Karin Jurick cut all the heads off her subjects? I'm having a little flashback....

Hi Susan, I do remember when she cut the heads off! Those are the good flashbacks to have! Thanks for visiting. Nancy
