Somehow her eyes are captivating to me. She really reminds me of Keely Smith. She was a singer with Louis Prima and performed way back when in Las Vegas. They were always around the "Rat Pack" fellows. I love painting people and this one was really made up but ended up as Keely. The brush strokes are bold and the color striking. Thanks for looking! Nancy, you got it goin' on with these portraits. Those eyes and lips show so much feeling and I love the freshness. GREAT job!
Thanks so much Vern. I love faces. I haven't seen a dull one yet!
Wonderful - I can't believe you made it up!
Thanks Robin, Madeups are my favorites-no pressure just fun.
The life in those eyes---absolutely wonderful!
I loved Keely Smith! Love this series of fem fatales! You put such personality behind their eyes!
That must have been an exciting time...!
Her eyes are so liquid, and the lighting so theatrical. Very evocative of the night life.
She's wonderful! I see the Kobayashi influence - with NRH soul. Your use of color is amazing; just one more things that draws me to your work.
