Anxiety

I am having anxiety over a figurative commission I am working on. I feel almost frozen and I don't know where it is coming from. It must be the pressure I am putting on myself to paint an wonderful painting for the client. I keep telling myself paint just like any other day when you are painting for yourself. I hope this passes soon! Does anyone else out there ever feel this way?

I do, especially for commissions. Just keep painting even if you wipe it off, one will eventually work!!!

I haven't had the chance yet to feel that way - but enjoy it, it means you're special.

i've had plenty of frozen moments. along with paint - wipe off- wipe off again- wipe off again- start another fresh canvas. But we would have to ask the portrait painters how they get over all this. You can send your failed attempts to me at 512 Dogwoo............I'll take 'em off your hands!

LOL thanks Robin vice versa. I can't imagine you with a bad painting though. But you do make me feel better friend.

Yes, Nancy, you're just building up the anxiety because you want to make sure that the client is going to like it!

Just remember that the client wants results similar to your past paintings, so it's your job to approach the painting the same way as in the past...

From my point of view, your paintings are outstanding, and this one will be as well!
