Drought

I have been really busy working on some commission pieces. My show went well and the paintings are selling, for which I am so grateful. I need to get back in the groove and catch up on my daily blog postings. I am sorry I have been lax about it. Tonight I am taking 2 plein air paintings (will post later) to a preview party for a Land Trust Auction to be held in late October. It should be fun.  We are having perfect weather for plein air painting and I hope to get out there and paint next week.I need to take some pictures around town as well. This painting is of an old water tower, the kind you still see in many small towns across the country. They are disappearing fast though. 12x16 oil on linen. For sale at http://www.renaissanceartgallery.com/

I love this one Nancy. We have one of these near our house in town. I heard today that when there was a fire in the town, the new tower (about 100 years old) didn't have water in it yet.
