Austen and Iced Coffee by Nancy Rhodes Harper

I envy people who can take a break for lunch and do something relaxing like reading for a short time. It seems to take me more time to get into the groove. I am not much of a reader. I would rather paint. 9x12 oil on board © 2010. Contact Renaissance Art Gallery if interest in purchasing. Thanks for looking!

Great gesture and great job on capturing the light!

Love this. I love to read but find myself painting more often than reading lately. Hard to find time for both.
I love the way you treated the bush in the background. A nice contrast to the figure.

Very cool! It reminds me of central park in the summer.

Thanks Linda. Sometimes the light just works perfectly, sometimes not!

Thanks Carol, I find foliage hard to paint. I am glad this one worked out.
