I would like to take this opportunity to tell you about a fabulous new Art Marketing website. Perhaps you are like me, overwhelmed by all of the information about marketing your art and where to start. At last someone has put it all together in one place, organized for you by some of the best art marketers in the country. I am learning so much. Many tips I knew nothing about. I am on a mission to market myself in the best possible way I can.You will not believe the faculty they have gathered together and the information just keeps coming all of the time. Won't you join me and we can do this together? I am looking at this as a new journey. A journey of opportunity to promote my art, get my name as a painter out there and sell my work. Who doesn't want to do these things? For the first 30 days you can join for free to try it out. If you decide to join, there is a nominal monthly fee or pay for a year all at once. Of course if you feel it is not for you and you don't need the wealth of information Art Marketing Association has to offer you you may cancel at any time! click on this logo and see what it is all about:

I remember being infatuated with mermaids when I was a child. We used to pretend to be mermaids at the pool in the summer. I like to think there are beautiful mermaids living happily beneath the ocean. 6x6 oil on hardboard ©2011 Email me if interested! $150.00

Yes that is the title and the real name of this little hot dog stand in East Nashville, Tn. Too cute to pass up. I wish the sun had been out so I could have included some fabulous light but it was raining. I was surprised at how abstract this looks when I finished. I may try painting a large one but this one is 8x10 oil on canvas board. ©2011 For Sale by me. Send me a message if interested. $325.00 unframed plus S/H. Thanks for looking.

I love to paint chefs and waiters. I like to capture the busy movement of a kitchen or a dining room. This is a painting I just delivered to Rennaisance Art Gallery in Northport, Alabama. I got to see first hand the devastation left by the tornado in Tuscaloosa. It is unbelievable. So much more to do there. I think my new word is simplify, which pretty much covers everything in my life. My paintings, my possessions, my home, my life in general. It is really hard to do! This painting is 11x14 ©2011 oil framed and waiting for a new home. ContactRenaissance Art Gallery if interested. Thanks for looking! Happy Fourth Of July America!!

I have been really busy painting for a show at Anne Irwin Fine Art on June 10 in Atlanta, Ga. It is a themed show entitled A Tale Of Two Cities...Paris and Atlanta. More about that later. This little painting was a quick study done as a still life. I am not a big fan of painting still life's because I am weak in that area but all the reason I need to do it more often. I tried to used bold brushwork and brilliant color to achieve the results I wanted. I love these little Fiesta Ware bowls to paint. Enjoy and thanks for looking. 6x6 $150.00 oil ©2011

A moment in time where people are unloading out of a jeep on their way to an art gallery. These moments captured on canvas in a painterly approach is what it is all about for me. The movement the figures the setting is always what I focus on when searching for subjects to paint. Enjoy! Thanks so much for looking and for your support. 6x6 oil on linen c2011 $100.00 plus S/H

This is how I have spent my Saturday night. Don't you ever feel like saying to someone who stares at you, "take a picture, it will last longer"? That is what she reminded me of. Working on those loose strokes. 6x8 oil on linen © 2011 Thanks for looking!

I snapped a photo of this scene in Charleston, SC while there for Thanksgiving. I thought the bike in front of the trolley speeding by was a great comparison of ways to travel. I have developed an affinity for wanting to paint trolleys for some reason. Of course I was trying to get across the street to the Starbucks you see in the window of the Francis Marion Hotel. 6x6 oil on hardboard. ©2011 Thanks for looking

Two people stretching before the annual Turkey Run in Charleston, SC at Thanksgiving.I was in Marion Square Park taking pictures and captured these two stretching. They kind of looked like they were in a football stance to me. When I started painting this piece I was surprised at how difficult it was to execute this pose. I think it worked out well and I like the painting. 6x6 oil on hardboard ©2011 Thanks for looking!

One of my favorite places to visit is Leiper's Fork, Tn. A small historic town outside of Historic Franklin, Tn. Great Leiper's Creek Art Gallery, Puckett's Grocery where you can get a genuine fried bologna sandwich with mayo on white bread! I love to paint people caught in a single moment in time. Crossing the street, walking away, whatever the scene, people make it for me. 6x6 oil on hardboard ©2011 Thanks for looking!

After taking the month of December off from my art world, I am back refreshed and ready to go again. This was a cute Llama that I photographed when I visited a local petting zoo recently. I think Llamas have the sweetest faces with cute smiles. I wonder if they really are sweet? 6x6 oil on gesso board ©2011 Thanks so much for looking!
