I snapped a photo of this scene in Charleston, SC while there for Thanksgiving. I thought the bike in front of the trolley speeding by was a great comparison of ways to travel. I have developed an affinity for wanting to paint trolleys for some reason. Of course I was trying to get across the street to the Starbucks you see in the window of the Francis Marion Hotel. 6x6 oil on hardboard. ©2011 Thanks for looking

Two people stretching before the annual Turkey Run in Charleston, SC at Thanksgiving.I was in Marion Square Park taking pictures and captured these two stretching. They kind of looked like they were in a football stance to me. When I started painting this piece I was surprised at how difficult it was to execute this pose. I think it worked out well and I like the painting. 6x6 oil on hardboard ©2011 Thanks for looking!

One of my favorite places to visit is Leiper's Fork, Tn. A small historic town outside of Historic Franklin, Tn. Great Leiper's Creek Art Gallery, Puckett's Grocery where you can get a genuine fried bologna sandwich with mayo on white bread! I love to paint people caught in a single moment in time. Crossing the street, walking away, whatever the scene, people make it for me. 6x6 oil on hardboard ©2011 Thanks for looking!

After taking the month of December off from my art world, I am back refreshed and ready to go again. This was a cute Llama that I photographed when I visited a local petting zoo recently. I think Llamas have the sweetest faces with cute smiles. I wonder if they really are sweet? 6x6 oil on gesso board ©2011 Thanks so much for looking!
