Fernando Llama by Nancy Rhodes Harper

After taking the month of December off from my art world, I am back refreshed and ready to go again. This was a cute Llama that I photographed when I visited a local petting zoo recently. I think Llamas have the sweetest faces with cute smiles. I wonder if they really are sweet? 6x6 oil on gesso board ©2011  Thanks so much for looking!

Oh man this is excellent. My neighbors used to have llamas...ornery little boogers. (o:

LOVE this! I really like the cropped perspective and seeing your brushstrokes gives the llama nice texture. Well done!

I work with a gal that raises llamas - they are so cool. This painting is great! I love the title!

Nice painting Nancy. Looks sweet to me, but I bet they can be mean. I met a guy that raises them the other day, I'll have to ask him next time I see him.
I took a bit of a break for the holidays too. Time to get back at it.

Hi Carol, well I thought I had better jump on it today so I found this friendly little face to paint. Thanks so much for checking in.

Hi Aubrey, What a cool name you have! I somehow thought llamas would be cheeky. They are so cute though. thanks for stopping in.

Thanks for the perspective comment. I was wondering if it would read well, at least I thought it would put a different spin on a closeup. Cheers Linda.

Thanks Pattie girl, It would be strange to raise LLamas they look so out of place on area farms. Thanks for stopping in!

Hi Frank, Thank so much for your comments. Yes, ask your friend if they are mean and spit like camels. I am sure the people that use them for pack animals appreciate them mean or not. When are we going to do another small work marathon?

Thanks Eman, I am always glad to see you stop by.
