Everybody Out by Nancy Rhodes Harper

A moment in time where people are unloading out of a jeep on their way to an art gallery. These moments captured on canvas in a painterly approach is what it is all about for me. The movement the figures the setting is always what I focus on when searching for subjects to paint. Enjoy! Thanks so much for looking and for your support. 6x6 oil on linen c2011 $100.00 plus S/H

The Unusual Suspects by Nancy Rhodes Harper

I liked the brush strokes and the neutral palette of this piece. Inspired by an old Library Of Congress photo. I imagined these were gangster types during the 1920's. 8x10 oil on hardboard ©2011 Thanks for looking!

Take A Picture! by Nancy Rhodes Harper

This is how I have spent my Saturday night. Don't you ever feel like saying to someone who stares at you, "take a picture, it will last longer"? That is what she reminded me of. Working on those loose strokes. 6x8 oil on linen © 2011 Thanks for looking!

Mom and Dad by Nancy Rhodes Harper

While I was at a workshop recently in Florida I spotted these two Volkswagon's together. Being a teen in the 60's of course I was attracted to them. It reminded me of a mother car and a daddy car! LOL I wonder what their off spring would be? This piece is for sale in my Etsy store. Click on the widget link to the right to view in the store. I am just getting started with Etsy so I will keep you informed on this journey. 6x6 oil on gesso board ©2011 Thanks for looking and thanks for your support!!
