Orange Bowl by Nancy Rhodes Harper

I have been really busy painting for a show at Anne Irwin Fine Art on June 10 in Atlanta, Ga. It is a themed show entitled A Tale Of Two Cities...Paris and Atlanta. More about that later. This little painting was a quick study done as a still life. I am not a big fan of painting still life's because I am weak in that area but all the reason I need to do it more often. I tried to used bold brushwork and brilliant color to achieve the results I wanted. I love these little Fiesta Ware bowls to paint. Enjoy and thanks for looking. 6x6 $150.00 oil ©2011

Beautiful still life! I really like the color harmony in this. Beautiful warm colors that are just perfect. Love the oranges that set them off. Fun title- all in all pretty amazing for someone who doesn't think they are good at still lifes!
