Halcyon Days At Carnton by Nancy Rhodes Harper

This is a small painting I did for a fundraiser. The Historic Preservation Of The Battle Of Franklin Civil War sites in Franklin, Tn.  I was going for a glaring mid-day sun look. It was one of my favorite pieces  that I submitted. I am happy to announce she has been sold to a lovely lady and will have a loved home.  6x8  oil © 2011 Thanks for looking!   SOLD

Great sunlight on her costume. I like how it hits on her hat and shirt and on the basket.

I've been away from the computer lately, so I missed your prior paintings. Both the restaurant scene and street scene are fabulous!

This painting has such a special feeling. It makes me think of those dinner baskets that used to be auctioned off at picnic gatherings.
